Mini Roadster Diesel Uneven Idling
Summary of the thread
A 2015 Mini Roadster diesel is experiencing uneven idling, with an error indicating a potential issue with the engine mount. The problem could be due to a defective engine mount or a simple cable issue. It is recommended to have the vehicle checked at a workshop to prevent further damage. The workshop confirmed the issue was a defective engine mount, possibly due to a faulty cable or plug connection.

Yes, the error memory does mention the engine mount specifically. Given your experience, is there anything else I should be checking before assuming mount failure?

If the error points directly to the engine mount and you're experiencing those symptoms, it's highly likely a mount failure. Given the age of the car, the rubber could be degrading. I'd recommend getting it checked out at a workshop before it causes further damage.

Just wanted to report back that the workshop confirmed it was a defective engine mount. They suspect a faulty cable or plug connection. Repair cost me 95€. Thanks for the advice!

I had similar vibration issues and uneven idling with my old Passat. Turned out to be a defective motor mount. Does the error memory point specifically to the engine mount?
