Mini Roadster engine misfires
Summary of the thread
A 2015 Mini Roadster with only 12,952 km is experiencing engine misfires, a rough idle, and reduced power, indicated by a check engine light. The initial suspicion is a defective injector, which could cause combustion misfires. After considering other potential causes like faulty ignition coils and fuel pump issues, it is confirmed that a defective injector is the problem. The issue is resolved after replacing the injector, restoring the car's smooth operation.

Ah, ok. Fuel pump issues usually cause more widespread problems. If the ignition coil is fine and the misfire is isolated to one cylinder, then yeah, a defective injector is the more likely culprit. Best to get it checked at a workshop.

Thanks for the quick reply! Ignition coils were checked and they seem ok. I'm suspecting it could be fuel related. Could it be a fuel pump issue instead?

Just wanted to update you and thank you for your help. The workshop confirmed it was indeed a defective injector. Repair cost me 515€. Ouch! But the Mini Roadster is running smoothly again. No more cylinder misfire!

Sounds similar to an issue I had with my Roadster. Engine was running rough, and the throttle response was awful. Have you checked your ignition coils? A faulty coil can cause combustion misfires too.
