Mini Roadster key issue
Summary of the thread
The 2015 Mini Roadster is experiencing issues with keyless access and a low key battery warning. The problem is suspected to be a dead key battery, which is causing the keyless access to malfunction and storing an error in the memory. The suggested solution is to replace the key battery, which resolved the issue and cleared the error message.

Sounds like the battery to me. I ended up taking my Skoda to a workshop because I didn't want to mess anything up. They confirmed it was just the battery and replaced it quickly. Since you have an error message too, it might be worth having a professional take a look.

Yes, keyless access is no longer working. I must press the unlock button on the key. I only have one key for the Mini Roadster. Is it likely the battery, or could it be something more serious?

It was indeed the key battery. I managed to replace it myself for 37€. The keyless entry is working again, and the error message is gone. Thanks for the advice.

I had a similar issue with my Skoda a while back. Keyless access not working means you can't just walk up to the car and have it unlock automatically, right? My key fob started acting up the same way. Did you try the spare key to see if the problem persists?
