Mini Roadster Mixture Preparation Error
Summary of the thread
A 2014 Mini Roadster is experiencing a mixture preparation error, leading to reduced engine power, a check engine light, rough running, jerking during acceleration, and stalling at idle. The suspected cause is a defective injection valve or injector. After replacing all four injectors, the car runs smoothly again, confirming the initial suspicion.

Was your engine stalling at idle too? And did a specific error code point to the injectors? I've already checked the spark plugs and those seem fine.

Yes, the engine stalling at idle was definitely happening, and yes the check engine light was on. I can't recall the exact error code now, but the workshop diagnosed it as an injector issue after some testing. I would recommend you go to a workshop.

It was indeed a defective injector. Replaced all four, and the car runs smoothly again. Total cost was 515€. Thanks for your input.

Reduced engine power and jerking? Sounds familiar. I had similar issues with my Mini, though it wasn't the Roadster. Did the check engine light come on for you as well? I seem to remember reading something about the oxygen sensor being related, or perhaps even the catalytic converter. Is it possible that the throttle body could be dirty?
