Mini Roadster Overheating Issue

Alright, I'm hoping someone can point me in the right direction. My 2015 Mini Roadster with almost 200000 km on it is overheating. I suspect it's related to the electric fan, since the engine cooling seems to be suffering, and the temperature control is off. Could a faulty connection be the culprit? I am trying to avoid further damages.

Overheating in a Mini is never fun. Is the radiator fan not kicking on at all? When was the last time you checked the fan clutch? Similar thing happened with mine; turned out to be a bad connection.

Interesting, when you say bad connection, are you referring to a cable or plug issue? I'm trying to narrow it down before taking it in. Was it easy to spot, or did it require some digging?

Yeah, it was a cable issue; the electric motor wasn't getting consistent power. I'd recommend getting it checked professionally; they can diagnose it properly. Could save you some headaches down the line.

Just wanted to close the loop on this. Took it to the shop, and you were spot on! It was a faulty connection related to the radiator fan motor. They sorted it out, and my Mini is back to its old self. Cost me 95€, which is a relief. Thanks again for your help!
