Mini Roadster Overheating Issue
Summary of the thread
A 2015 Mini Roadster with nearly 200,000 km is experiencing overheating issues, suspected to be linked to the electric fan and engine cooling. A faulty connection, particularly related to the radiator fan motor, is identified as a potential cause. After professional diagnosis, the issue is confirmed to be a bad connection affecting the fan's power supply, which is then resolved, restoring the vehicle's normal function.

Interesting, when you say bad connection, are you referring to a cable or plug issue? I'm trying to narrow it down before taking it in. Was it easy to spot, or did it require some digging?

Yeah, it was a cable issue; the electric motor wasn't getting consistent power. I'd recommend getting it checked professionally; they can diagnose it properly. Could save you some headaches down the line.

Just wanted to close the loop on this. Took it to the shop, and you were spot on! It was a faulty connection related to the radiator fan motor. They sorted it out, and my Mini is back to its old self. Cost me 95€, which is a relief. Thanks again for your help!

Overheating in a Mini is never fun. Is the radiator fan not kicking on at all? When was the last time you checked the fan clutch? Similar thing happened with mine; turned out to be a bad connection.
