Mini Roadster weird sensor issue

Yeah, a blown fuse is easy to miss. Your car's manual should show the fuse box location (usually under the dash or in the engine bay). There should be a diagram in there to help you find the right one. If the little wire inside the fuse is broken, then it's blown. But since so many systems are affected, it might be something more complicated, like you said, with the wiring or the sensor itself. If you're not comfortable checking the wiring yourself, it might be worth taking it to a workshop. They can run some sensor diagnostics and pinpoint the problem.

A fuse, huh? I didn't even think of that. Where would I even find the fuse for the outside temperature sensor? And how would I know if it's actually blown?

Just wanted to let you know how it went. Took my Roadster to the shop and they confirmed it was the outside temperature sensor. 95€ later and everything is working again! Thanks a bunch for your help!

Hey, that sounds like a real pain! The vehicle temperature gauge on your Mini Roadster Diesel is used by a bunch of different systems. The air conditioning definitely uses it, and I'm guessing the spray nozzles and mirror heating also rely on that reading to function properly in cold weather. First thought: have you checked the fuse box? Sometimes a blown fuse can cause weird sensor issues.
