Mini Roadster Windshield Washer Issue
Summary of the thread
The 2012 Mini Roadster experienced a problem with the windshield washer system, specifically the heater, which led to freezing spray nozzles in cold temperatures. The issue was suspected to be due to a defective cable or plug connection. After consulting a mechanic, it was confirmed that the cable was indeed faulty, and replacing it resolved the problem, restoring the system's functionality.

Thanks for the tip! I'm fairly new to this, so could you be a bit more specific? Which fuse should I be looking for? And is there a way to check if the washer heater is getting power? Also, could clogged nozzles trigger an error in the error memory?

Yes, a clogged nozzle will not trigger the error, and I am unsure about the exact fuse for your Mini. Given that you're seeing an error code and suspect a wiring issue with the washer heater, it might be best to get it checked by a mechanic. Could save you time and potential headaches.

Just wanted to circle back and let you know how things went! I took your advice and brought the Mini to my trusted mechanic. Turns out, the windshield washer heater cable was indeed defective, just like the error memory suggested. They replaced the cable and the plug connection, and now everything is working perfectly. Total cost was 95€, exactly as estimated! Thanks again for your help!

I had a similar problem with my old Opel. The windshield wipers weren't working correctly, and the spray nozzles were clogged. Have you checked the fuse box? It might be a simple fix.
