Mirai Infotainment System Issue

Yes, I've tried to delete and re-establish the Bluetooth pairing multiple times, following the owner's manual. The issue persists. The error message is unspecific, indicating a general communication malfunction within the infotainment system but providing no further detail. Could this suggest a more fundamental electrical fault beyond just the pairing itself?

The persistence despite your troubleshooting and the generic error code suggest a deeper issue than a simple pairing mishap. It's plausible that an underlying electrical fault is interfering with the communication protocols. Given the Mirai's systems, I recommend a visit to a certified Toyota workshop. They possess the diagnostic tools necessary to pinpoint the root cause, be it a software glitch, a hardware component failure, or a wiring issue. Get it checked before it potentially impacts more critical drivetrain or suspension functions.

I booked an appointment with a certified Toyota workshop. It was indeed an incorrect pairing with the end device that necessitated a software reset. The repair cost was 45€.

The symptoms you describe point towards a potential communication issue, possibly from an incorrect pairing sequence or outdated software. Have you tried deleting the existing pairing profile from both your smartphone and the Mirai's system, then re-establishing the connection? Is the error message a generic communication fault, or does it specify a particular subsystem?
