Mirai massage seat malfunction
Summary of the thread
The 2023 Toyota Mirai's electric massage seat switch is malfunctioning, with an error code indicating a problem. The issue seems isolated to the massage feature, as other seat functions like lumbar support and heating are operational. A possible cause is a faulty cable or plug connection specific to the massage function. The recommended solution is to have a workshop inspect and potentially fix the loose connection, as tracing the wires under the seat can be challenging.

Good call on the other functions. Lumbar support and heating are working fine, so it does seem isolated to the massage feature. I didn't check the fuses, mainly because everything else on the seat is working. Where exactly should I be looking for these connections and what do they look like?

Okay, with the other functions working, it's less likely to be a main power fuse. I’m guessing the cable for the massage function is faulty. Honestly, tracing those wires under the seat is a pain. I ended up taking mine to a workshop. They diagnosed it as a loose connection and fixed it quickly. I'd recommend doing the same; I am not an expert.

Sounds like diving under the seat myself might be more trouble than it's worth. I'll book it in with a workshop. They quoted around 95€ for a repair so I'll let them take a look at the cable and plug connection. I appreciate the insight!

Interesting. I had a similar issue with my Mirai a while back. Does the error code seem specific to the seat motor, or is it more generic? Have you checked the basic stuff, like fuses? It's probably a defective cable or plug connection. Do any other seat functions work, like lumbar support or seat heating?
