Mirror Heating Failure
Summary of the thread
The mirror heating on a 2014 Peugeot 2008 was not functioning, and an error code was present. The initial suspicion was a bad connection. It was suggested to check the cable and plug connections to the mirrors, as a similar issue was resolved by addressing internal corrosion and faulty connections. Ultimately, the problem was confirmed to be a faulty cable/plug connection, which was repaired professionally.

You mean where the mirror connects inside the door panel? Was it obviously corroded or damaged, or was it more subtle? Thinking about tackling this myself, but don't want to go on a wild goose chase.

Precisely. In my case, the cable was internally corroded and the plug connection was faulty, leading to the open circuit. Given the error you're seeing and the lack of heating, I'd wager you're facing the same issue. Considering the potential complexity and depending on your expertise in automotive electronics, it might be judicious to consult a professional workshop. They possess the requisite tools and diagnostic acumen to pinpoint the fault with greater efficacy and effectuate the repair in a safe and timely manner.

Appreciate the input! Took your advice and had it checked. Turns out it was a faulty cable/plug connection, just like you said. Cost me 95€ to get it sorted. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction!

Interesting. I had something similar happen on my 2008 (though I can't remember the year). Mirror heating just stopped, and the error memory was showing a fault. Did you check the cable and plug connections to the mirrors themselves? That's where my problem was.
