Mistra crankcase ventilation issue
Summary of the thread
A 2023 Hyundai Mistra owner experienced issues with the crankcase ventilation valve, indicated by a check engine light, reduced engine power, and visible smoke during acceleration. The problem was suspected to be a defective crankcase ventilation system. A fellow Mistra owner suggested checking the PCV valve for clogs or damage. Ultimately, a professional diagnosis confirmed the faulty valve, which was then replaced.

Thanks. Can you tell me more about how you inspected the PCV valve? Did you see any signs of damage or wear?

I checked that the valve moved properly and looked for any buildup. Given your car's symptoms and my experience, I'd suggest getting a professional diagnosis instead of trying to fix it yourself.

Thanks for the advice. I took it to a technician, and they confirmed the crankcase ventilation valve was faulty. Replacing it cost 360€. Thanks for the help.

I own a Mistra too, and those symptoms sound like what I went through. Did you check the PCV valve itself? It's often just stuck or clogged, which causes ventilation and idle problems.
