Thanks for the quick reply! I've visually inspected the wiring and connections, but I haven't tested them with a multimeter. What readings should I be looking for? Is there a specific voltage range I should expect from a functioning sensor?

Unfortunately, I don't recall the exact voltage readings, and it probably differs between manufacturers anyway. Given the symptoms and the diagnostic code, it's likely the sensor itself is faulty. I'd suggest taking it to a workshop; they can confirm the diagnosis and replace the sensor.

Thanks, I appreciate the advice. Took it to a trusted shop, and they confirmed the sensor was indeed defective. Replaced it for 245€. Problem solved!

That sounds familiar. I had a similar issue with my old Renault Megane. Same symptoms – warning light and smoke under acceleration. The problem turned out to be a faulty pressure sensor in the exhaust system. Have you checked the sensor's wiring and connections?
