Mistra Tailgate Hall Sensor Fault
Summary of the thread
The tailgate of a 2013 Hyundai Mistra is not opening completely, with a diagnostic tool indicating a hall sensor fault. The issue may stem from defective wiring or a faulty plug. It is suggested to inspect the sensor wiring first, as damaged wires can lead to such problems. Ultimately, a workshop visit may be necessary to address the root cause, as confirmed by a similar case where defective wiring was identified and repaired.

Thanks! Was your error memory also reporting an issue with the hall sensor? Trying to figure out if I can fix this myself.

Yes, the error was related to the hall sensor in the tailgate motor. Considering the hassle, I'd recommend taking it to a workshop to resolve the root cause.

Appreciate the advice. Seems like a workshop visit is inevitable. The repair cost me 95€, defective wiring was the cause.

I had a similar issue with my Mistra. The tailgate would only open partially. Check the sensor wiring first. A damaged wire can cause problems.
