Mobilio NOx Catalyst and Exhaust Leak
Summary of the thread
A 2014 Honda Mobilio with a gasoline engine has a check engine light indicating a NOx storage catalyst aging error, accompanied by an exhaust leak. The exhaust leak could be causing the NOx emissions issue by affecting the system's performance. It is suggested to have the exhaust system inspected and repaired, as resolving the leak and possibly replacing a sensor can fix the NOx catalyst problem.

That's my concern. Could you elaborate on your experience with the Opel Astra? Was the exhaust leak directly related to the NOx catalyst issue, or were they separate problems? What did the repair entail?

Yep, in my case, the exhaust leak was messing with the whole system, causing the NOx catalyst to not work properly. Cost me around 300€ to fix it (exhaust welding plus some sensor cleaning). Best to get it to a workshop, they'll figure it out.

Thanks for sharing your experience! I'm scheduling an appointment with a trusted workshop to assess the exhaust system and the NOx catalyst. The exhaust was indeed leaking, which messed up the readings. After welding the exhaust and replacing a sensor, the NOx issue was resolved. The entire repair cost me approximately 265€. I appreciate your assistance!

Hey, sounds frustrating! Had something similar happen with my old Opel Astra, although that was a diesel. Check engine light, the whole shebang. Exhaust leak and NOx catalyst error? Isn't that a red flag?
