An Opel Astra, you say? I checked the battery voltage, and it's a bit low. I'll get the error code soon with my diagnostic tool. How did you fix it?

Voltage sounds suspect then. I chased wiring diagrams and relays for days on the Astra only to find a bad cell in the battery was the culprit. The draw from the rear window heater was just enough to push it over the edge. Honestly, save yourself the headache and get it properly diagnosed. A workshop will pinpoint the issue quickly.

I appreciate your insights! I'll take it to a workshop for a diagnostic evaluation. The estimated cost is around 290€. Thanks!

Interesting. I had a similar gremlin in my old Opel Astra. The rear defroster just quit. Did you check the voltage on your battery? What kind of error code are you seeing?
