Moco fuel flap release problem

Thanks for the reply. Yes, by linkage, I meant the cable release mechanism. I haven't checked the fuses yet, that's a good point. Is the solenoid you're referring to part of the central locking system, or is it separate? Also, where is the fuse located?

From what I recall, the solenoid is integrated with the central locking system. A defective central locking system may therefore affect the fuel filler flap. Regarding the fuse, check the fuse box, usually located in the passenger compartment or in the engine compartment. Because of the error stored in the error memory of your car, I would suggest that you visit your local garage.

Okay, thanks for the suggestion. I'll check the fuses, but it sounds like a trip to the workshop is inevitable. It turned out to be a defective cable release mechanism. Repair cost 210€

Hey there. I have a Moco as well, though I'm not sure of the year right now, and had a similar issue with my fuel flap. By linkage, do you mean the cable release mechanism? The fuel flap is usually released by a solenoid (an electrical switch) that pulls on a cable. If that cable is stretched or broken, it won't open the flap. Did you check the fuse related to central locking?
