Moco low heating output
Summary of the thread
The 2011 Nissan Moco is experiencing low heating output, potentially due to a defective water valve. Initial checks, such as coolant levels, were performed, but the issue persists. A suggestion was made to inspect the heater core for blockages and consider professional diagnostics due to an error code. Ultimately, the problem was confirmed to be the water valve, which was replaced to resolve the issue.
Did this summary help you solve your problem?

Thanks for the insight. I haven't specifically checked the heater core for blockages, but I'll add that to my list. No visible coolant leaks so far. But if it was the water valve in your case, how did you narrow it down?

Well, after checking the usual things like you did, I eventually took it to a workshop. They ran some diagnostics and confirmed it was the water valve. Given that you also have an error code stored, I'd recommend getting it checked by a professional. Could save you a lot of time and potential headaches. They can also check your heater core.

Appreciate the advice. I'll take it to a workshop to get properly diagnosed and hopefully fixed. Turns out it was the water valve after all. Cost me 95€ to get it sorted. Thanks!

Sounds familiar. I had a similar issue with my old 2008 Opel Corsa. The heating was barely working, and it turned out to be a problem with the water valve. Before jumping to conclusions, did you check the heater core for any blockages? Sometimes, debris can build up and restrict coolant flow, mimicking the symptoms of a faulty valve. Also, have you noticed any coolant leaks?
