Modus automatic temperature control issue
Summary of the thread
A Renault Modus owner is experiencing issues with the automatic temperature control, where the system is stuck at a constant, incorrect temperature, and the air conditioning is non-functional. The problem is linked to a "faulty interior temperature sensor" error code. The likely causes are a defective sensor or a connection issue. A similar case was resolved by addressing both the sensor and a faulty connection at a workshop, suggesting that professional repair might be the best solution.

Good question! It's completely off. Stuck at a constant, unrealistic temperature. Never fluctuates, never even hints at being correct. Could you tell me if you had the same symptoms? Did you try to fix it yourself?

Yep, that's exactly what happened to mine, stuck temperature and all. Honestly, after poking around for a bit and getting nowhere, I bit the bullet and took it to a workshop. They said it was indeed the temperature sensor and a dodgy connection. Saved myself a bigger headache that way.

Right, that's the confirmation I needed. I was hoping to avoid the workshop, but I think you're right. My multimeter skills can only take me so far. I will take it to the shop. They quoted me around 95€, but I'm sure it will be worth it to have a functional climate control again. Thanks!

Oh man, climate issues are the worst! I had a similar experience with my Modus, and it drove me nuts. Was the temperature reading completely off, or just fluctuating wildly? I mean, did it ever give you a remotely accurate reading, even for a little bit?
