Modus Cruise Control Failure

Hi, I've got a 2005 Renault Modus diesel with only 44827 km on the clock. The cruise control has suddenly stopped working. The dashboard light doesn't come on, and the error memory has logged something. From what I've read, it might be a defective cable or plug connection? Anyone else had this?

Hey, I had a similar problem with my Modus. Have you checked the speed sensor or the throttle position? Sometimes those can throw a wrench into the cruise control system. Also, did you check the fuse box? It's like a Christmas tree of potential problems, but a blown fuse is always the easiest to fix.

Thanks for the quick reply! Where exactly is the speed sensor located, and is it easy to get to? Also, which fuse in the fuse box controls the cruise control? I don't want to just start pulling them all out!

Honestly, I can't remember the exact location of the speed sensor. It was a while ago, and I ended up taking it to a workshop. They sorted it out pretty quickly and the final bill was 95€. Saved me a lot of time fiddling around.
