Modus electrical malfunction

I've got a weird electrical issue with my 2008 Renault Modus (gasoline engine). It's done about 172,000 km. An error keeps showing up, and it's causing general electrical problems. Plus, the navigation system is dead. The diagnostics say the control unit programming is off. Anyone else seen this?

I had similar issues with my Modus. Electrical gremlins are a pain. Have you tried a software reset to clear the error memory? It might fix it, especially if the control unit programming is the problem. I had a software bug in the navigation system and a reset fixed it.

The workshop did my software reset. The technician used diagnostic equipment to re-flash the control unit. It's complex and risky, so I wouldn't try it yourself without the right tools and knowledge. The error memory and navigation issue suggest a bigger problem than a simple reset can solve. It will probably cost around 240€.
