Modus Emergency Call System Error

I'm having trouble with the emergency call system on my 2011 Renault Modus with a gasoline engine. An error is stored in the error memory, and there's an error message and warning light on the speedometer. With 187317 km on the clock, could this be a bigger issue, or just the telematics control module?

Hey, I had a similar issue on my 2016 Opel Astra. Same symptoms, emergency call malfunction, warning lights, the whole thing. Did you try a system reset? Mine was intermittent. Have you checked the telematics unit's connections? It might be a loose plug.

How did you do the system reset? And for the telematics unit's connections, do I need a diagnostic scan to find the problem, or are there common spots for issues on the Renault Modus?

The system reset on the Astra was just disconnecting the battery for about 30 minutes. But since it's a safety feature, I wouldn't mess with it too much. Mine kept coming back and it was a faulty module. I'd recommend a workshop with diagnostic tools. They should find the issue quickly.
