Modus faulty lights

Help! My 2008 Renault Modus (gasoline engine) is acting up. The lights are faulty. They sometimes switch on by themselves, and there's an error stored in the memory. I suspect a bad cable or plug connection. Has anyone experienced something similar?

I had a similar issue with my Modus. A faulty light switch can cause weird electrical problems. Check the dimmer switch and tail lights for any signs of damage or corrosion. Dashboard lights behaving erratically too?

Thanks! Yes, sometimes the dashboard lights flicker as well. Was the fault in your car actually related to the light switch itself, or somewhere else in the car lighting system?

Confirmed, it was the light switch itself. Given the symptoms and error code, I'd advise visiting a workshop for a proper diagnosis. Better safe than sorry with electrical issues.

Thanks for the advice! I went to the workshop, and you were right, the light switch was the culprit. Repair cost me 95€. All sorted now!
