Modus Manifold Pressure Sensor Issue

My 2011 Renault Modus with a diesel engine is showing some concerning symptoms. The check engine light is on, engine power is noticeably reduced, and the response is poor, with increased fuel consumption. I suspect a faulty manifold pressure sensor, likely due to a large vacuum leak. Anyone experienced similar?

Sounds familiar. I had similar issues with my Modus. Have you checked the intake manifold for leaks? That sensor failure could definitely be the culprit. Was your car behaving erratically before this?

Thanks for the quick reply. I inspected the intake manifold and didn't notice anything obvious. Did you replace the sensor yourself, or did you have a mechanic do it?

I'd recommend getting it checked professionally. Given the symptoms and likely cause, you might save yourself some time and potential headaches. The final repair bill was 235€. It's your call, but it could prevent further damage.

Thanks for the advice. Took your suggestion and went to the shop. Indeed, the manifold pressure sensor was busted because of vacuum leakage. All sorted now.
