Thanks! I haven't checked the wiring harness in detail yet, just visually inspected the plug at the mirror. Good tip about the multimeter, but where should I measure?

On the Corsa, the break was inside the protective rubber boot between the door and the car body – completely hidden, so a visual check might not be enough. I don't know the Modus wiring. Given the error code, unless you're comfortable with car electronics, I'd get it diagnosed professionally. A broken wire can cause shorts. The estimate I got was around 95€.

Okay, I appreciate the advice! You're probably right. I'll take it to a workshop tomorrow. Thanks for sharing your experience; it saved me time trying to fix it myself!

I had a similar problem with my 2012 Opel Corsa. The heated mirrors stopped working, and it was a broken wire within the door harness. These wires are constantly flexed, and they can break. Have you checked the wiring in the door hinge area? A multimeter is your friend. Got any experience with one?
