Modus oil pressure warning light
Summary of the thread
The oil pressure warning light on a 2009 Renault Modus diesel engine illuminated despite normal oil levels, raising concerns about potential oil contamination. The issue was suspected to be due to exceeding the maintenance interval, leading to sludge buildup. The solution involved changing the oil and filter, which resolved the warning light issue.

No, I haven't used any oil additives. But what was the problem with your car? Was it also about contaminated engine oil?

Yes, precisely. In my case, it turned out the oil change was overdue by a large margin, and there was some sludge buildup. Best to get it checked by a workshop to avoid engine damage!

It was indeed the exceeded maintenance interval. I just had the oil and filter changed, costing me 165€, and the warning light is gone! I appreciate your help!

That sounds familiar. I drive a Modus too, although I don't remember the exact year. I also had an oil pressure issue. Have you used any oil additives recently?
