Modus parking sensor failure

I know that pain! I've got a Modus too, and had something similar happen last year. It turned out to be a faulty connection to one of the rear radar sensors. Have you checked all the plugs and wiring around the bumper? Specifically, inspect the radar sensors, proximity sensors, rearview camera, and ultrasonic sensors. Might save you a trip to the garage.

Thanks for the tip! Was yours completely dead too, or just acting up intermittently? I'm wondering if it's worth poking around myself before handing it over to a garage.

Yeah, mine was totally dead, just like yours. I fiddled around for ages trying to find the fault. I would suggest going to the workshop, because eventually it turned out to be a corroded connection deep inside the bumper, and I couldn't reach it without dismantling half the car. Paid 95€ for it

Right, corroded connection sounds like a proper pain. Thanks for sharing your experience, sounds like I'll save myself the headache and let the pros handle it. At least now I know what to expect!
