Modus sporadic errors warning lights

Oh my, that sounds all too familiar! I had nearly the same issue with my Modus, although I can't remember the exact mileage. When you say 'control units become unresponsive', do you mean everything just shuts down completely, or is it more like a temporary freeze? Also, did you already use an OBD-II scanner?

Absolutely identical! My CD player would just die mid-song, the navigation would send me to the middle of nowhere, and warning lights would flash like a Christmas tree! Seriously, though, it's probably the cable connection of the control unit; it's likely defective, especially the connection to the BUS system. You should take it to a workshop.

Thanks for the info! I took it to the workshop, and you were spot on. Defective cable connection to the BUS system. Repair cost 155€. Appreciate the help!
