Modus Windshield Wipers Not Working

Hi, I'm having a bothersome issue with my 2005 Renault Modus, diesel engine. My windshield wipers aren't working at all. I've scanned the error memory and there's a stored error related to the wiper motor circuit. I've checked the fuses and relay, all seem fine. Anyone encountered something similar? I'm suspecting a defective cable or plug connection, but I'm not sure where to start digging.

I had something similar happen on my Modus. Before you tear everything apart, have you checked the turn signal stalk assembly? Sometimes the wiper control wiring gets wonky there, especially if you have a rain sensor. Also, inspect the wiring harness where it enters the motor compartment. Any sign of chafing?

Thanks for the tip! I hadn't thought of the turn signal stalk. The rain sensor is factory fitted, I will take a look. About the Wiring harness, is there a specific point I should focus on?

Yeah, trace the harness from the wiper motor back towards the firewall. Pay close attention to any points where it's secured to the body or where it passes near any sharp edges. If you are not successful, I'd suggest a workshop, I'm afraid something more complex is malfunctioning.

Thanks a lot for your input! I decided to take it to a workshop. As it turned out, it actually was a faulty connection. They located a broken wire within the harness near the motor. Repair cost 95€. Appreciate the help!
