Thanks for sharing your experience! That's really helpful to know about the battery and alternator issues. I'll definitely keep that in mind and get it checked ASAP. Just curious, do you remember roughly how much you ended up paying for the whole fix? Also, has everything been running smoothly since then, or have you noticed any other quirks?

Hey again! Actually, I need to correct my previous post, it was indeed the transport mode that was causing the issues in my Astra, not the alternator! After taking it to the mechanic last month, they diagnosed and fixed the transport mode problem right away. The whole thing was pretty straightforward and only cost me 45€, which included the jump start they had to do initially. Everything's been running perfectly smooth since the fix, no warning lights, all systems working normally, and no more electrical gremlins to speak of. It's like having a completely different car now! Much better than I initially thought it would be, especially since I was worried it might be something more serious (and expensive) like the alternator issue I mentioned before. Sorry for any confusion in my first reply, but I'm actually really glad it turned out to be just the transport mode. So yeah, if your symptoms are similar, there's a good chance you're dealing with the same thing. Definitely worth getting it checked out, it's a relatively quick and affordable fix!

What a relief! Thanks for clarifying about the transport mode fix. I actually took my Mokka to the mechanic yesterday after reading your messages. You were right, it was exactly the same issue! The mechanic I found was really honest and straightforward. He diagnosed the transport mode problem in about 15 minutes and fixed it right there. Only paid 50€, which was way less than I was expecting. No more warning lights, and all the electrical stuff is working perfectly now. Honestly, I feel a bit silly for being so worried about it. My previous bad experience with mechanics made me hesitate, but this guy was great. The car's running like new again, it's amazing what a simple fix can do! Thanks again for your help. It really gave me the push I needed to get it sorted quickly instead of waiting and potentially making things worse. Definitely keeping this mechanic's number for future reference!

Hey there, I had a similar situation with my 2016 Vauxhall Astra diesel (different model, but same manufacturer). The symptoms you're describing sound exactly like what I experienced last month. Multiple electrical systems were acting up, warning lights, the works. Turned out it wasn't transport mode, it was actually a failing battery causing chaos with the car's electrical systems. After the jump start, the alternator wasn't charging the battery properly either. Took it to my mechanic, and they found the alternator was shot and needed replacing, along with the battery. It was a pretty serious issue since it affected multiple systems. Definitely get it checked soon, when these electrical gremlins start showing up in Vauxhalls, they can cascade into bigger problems if left unchecked. My trusted mechanic got it sorted in about half a day, and it's been running perfectly since. Just don't drive it too far until you get it checked out, especially if you're needing jump starts.
