Mokka ABS and Steering Problems

My 2019 Vauxhall Mokka diesel (93423 km) displays a low tire pressure warning. The ABS lamp lights up, steering wheel vibrates/shakes, and steering requires increased effort, suggesting possible power steering failure. Could a defective tire valve cause all these symptoms?

Summary of the thread

A 2019 Vauxhall Mokka diesel exhibited a low tire pressure warning, ABS light activation, steering wheel vibration, and increased steering effort, indicating potential power steering failure. The core problem was identified as a defective tire valve, which caused pressure loss and triggered the ABS and steering issues. Replacing the faulty valve resolved all the symptoms.

I had a similar problem with my Mokka. Check the tire sensor, and whether your tires are inflated properly. A punctured tire can cause similar symptoms.

Thanks. Was it just the tire pressure, or was there a sensor issue too? Did you also have the ABS and steering problems?

It turned out to be a faulty valve in the tire causing pressure loss, which triggered the tire monitoring system and subsequently the ABS and steering issues. I'd suggest getting it checked at a workshop.

Thanks for the advice. The workshop confirmed a defective tire valve. Repair cost was 280€. Replacing the valve resolved all the issues.
