Mokka AC Failure

My 2015 Vauxhall Mokka (diesel engine, 144363 km) A/C isn't working. The system refuses to switch on, and no cool air is coming through. Error memory has a stored fault. Could it be a refrigerant leak or the A/C compressor itself? Anyone else had this, and what was the culprit?

Summary of the thread

The 2015 Vauxhall Mokka's A/C system was not functioning, with no cool air and a stored fault in the error memory. Possible causes included a refrigerant leak or a faulty A/C compressor. A suggestion was made to check the relay switch and consider undervoltage as a potential issue. The problem was resolved at a workshop, confirming undervoltage as the cause, and the system was repaired successfully.

It is possible that the pressure switch has detected insufficient pressure due to a refrigerant leak. Have you checked the relay switch?

Thanks for the reply! The relay switch is a good shout - I hadn't thought of that. Is there a common way these fail, and would that cause a complete system shutdown like this?

Undervoltage is a common cause for A/C compressor shut off. I would advise a thorough diagnostic check at a workshop.

Thanks so much for the advice! Turns out you were spot on about the undervoltage. Got it sorted at the workshop for 240€ – seems to be running fine now!
