Mokka Automatic Transmission Problem
Summary of the thread
A 2012 Vauxhall Mokka with a gasoline engine experienced issues with the automatic transmission, including being stuck in emergency mode, poor shifting, slipping, and grinding noises. The transmission indicator and check engine lights were on, and diagnostic codes pointed to a radiator oil pressure defect. A faulty cable or plug connection was identified as the cause, and repairing this connection resolved the transmission problems.

Yeah, the shifting is awful. Where is this pressure gauge located, and what should I be looking for? I did a quick visual inspection for leaks, but didn't see anything obvious. Could the cooling fan cause this?

Mine was the same issue: The automatic transmission was in emergency mode. I'm no expert, but after checking all obvious things like coolant level, I took it to a workshop. They confirmed the cable or plug connection was defective, and after the repair, the car ran perfectly. I suggest you do the same.

Thanks for the tip! Took it to a local shop and you were spot on! Turns out a faulty connector was the problem. 95€ later and it's shifting smoothly again. Appreciate the help!

I had something similar happen with my Mokka. Is it struggling to shift properly? For me, the coolant level was fine, but I suspected a pressure issue in the cooling system. Did you check the radiator coolant pressure gauge?
