Mokka Exhaust Temperature Sensor Issue

Interesting! I haven't specifically looked for leaks. Where exactly on the exhaust system should I be checking? Is there a particular spot where leaks are more common?

On my Peugeot, the leak was near one of the joints, where two sections of the exhaust pipe connected. But honestly, it could be anywhere along the system. Given the symptoms and your mileage (223795 km), it might be best to get it checked out by a professional. They'll have the tools and know-how to pinpoint the exact location of the leak, if there is one, and properly diagnose the sensor issue.

Thanks a bunch for the advice! I took it to a local workshop, and you were spot on – a small leak in the exhaust was causing the sensor to throw errors. Got it fixed for 265€. Running like a dream now!

Sounds familiar! I had a similar problem with my old Peugeot 308. Same symptoms: check engine light, sluggish performance, and terrible fuel economy. It turned out to be a leak in the exhaust system messing with the sensor readings. Have you checked your exhaust for any signs of damage or corrosion?
