Mokka Fuel Consumption Starting Issue
Summary of the thread
A 2022 Vauxhall Mokka with high mileage is experiencing increased fuel consumption and poor starting. The initial suspicion was a throttle valve issue, but checks on the air intake and throttle position sensor showed no problems. A similar case with a Peugeot 308 suggested a defective accelerator pedal module could be the cause. After taking the car to a workshop, it was confirmed that the accelerator pedal module was faulty, leading to its replacement.

Thanks for the info! Was it difficult to diagnose? Did you notice any other symptoms besides the fuel consumption and starting issues?

The diagnosis wasn't straightforward. Besides the consumption and starting, the engine idle was rough sometimes. I would recommend having the throttle position and accelerator pedal module checked by a workshop.

Took your advice and brought it to a workshop. Turns out the accelerator pedal module was indeed faulty, just like you said. Repair cost me 205€. Thanks for the help!

I had similar symptoms on my old Peugeot 308. Turned out to be a defective accelerator pedal module. The car was overfuelling and struggling to start.
