Mokka Fuel Injection Issues

I'm having trouble with my 2018 Vauxhall Mokka, gasoline engine. It has 22645 km. Fuel consumption is higher, engine power is reduced, and it sometimes stalls when idling. Plus, there's smoke from the exhaust when I accelerate. Could this be the injection system? I checked the engine bay, but I didn't see anything obvious. Anyone else had this?

Those symptoms do point towards a fuel injection problem. When was the last time you had the car serviced? Check the simple things first, like the air filter. A clogged filter can affect fuel mixture and cause some of those issues.

Thanks. The car was serviced about 5000 km ago, and the air filter was changed then. Could a bad cable or plug connection to the injection components cause this?

Yes, a loose or damaged connection could definitely cause those issues. It might be intermittent, which explains the stalling and power loss. It's probably best to have a workshop take a look. They can properly diagnose the electrical connections and the injectors themselves.

Thanks for the confirmation. I had it inspected at a local workshop, and it was a defective cable connection to the injection system. The repair cost 95€.
