Mokka Heating Problems

My 2012 Vauxhall Mokka diesel heating is barely lukewarm. Diagnostic check says the defrost air distribution flap is faulty. Fuses and blower motor are fine. Could be a dodgy connection or the flap motor itself. Anyone else had this issue? Mileage is 113408 km.

Mokka owner here. Sounds familiar. I had a similar issue. The climate control was acting up, and the heating output was rubbish. Before you rip the dashboard apart, have you checked the wiring harness and plug connection to the flap motor? Have you noticed if the temperature regulation is all over the place or is it just weak heat?

Thanks for the tip! Where exactly is that wiring harness located, and is it easy to get to? And yes, the temperature is erratic, sometimes feels colder than others. Is that confirmation it is a dodgy connection?

The harness is usually near the HVAC unit itself; you might need to remove some trim panels to get a good look. Given the erratic temperature, there's a good chance it's the connection. Chasing wiring gremlins can be a nightmare. I ended up taking mine to a workshop; they sorted it quickly for 95€ if it's just a bad connection.

Appreciate the advice. I think I'll follow your lead and get it booked in. I don't have the time or patience to start digging around in the dashboard myself. Fingers crossed it is just a loose connection, and it won't cost me an arm and a leg! At least I know what to expect now, thanks to you!
