Thanks for the tip! When you say 'cable connections', do you mean the ones going into the door handle itself, or further inside the door panel? And was it obvious when you found it, or did you need a multimeter to test it?

On the Octavia, it was where the wiring loom connected to the door module, inside the door panel. I didn't spot it myself, my mechanic did. I'd suggest taking it to a workshop. I did, and they were able to pinpoint the exact problem and fix it quickly.

Appreciate the advice. I took it to a local garage, and you were spot on – it was a defective cable/plug connection! They charged me 95€ to sort it out. Keyless entry is working again. Thanks again!

Sounds familiar. I had a similar issue on my old Skoda Octavia a while back. The keyless entry packed up, and it turned out to be a faulty connection in the door. Like a loose wire on a lamp, if that makes sense. Did you check the cable connections in the door?
