Mokka Lights Switch On By Themselves
Summary of the thread
A 2015 Vauxhall Mokka owner experienced an issue where the lights would switch on by themselves, accompanied by a dashboard message and an error code related to the light switch. After checking the fuses, which were fine, the problem was suspected to be electrical, possibly involving the dimmer switch. A suggestion was made to inspect the cable and plug connection to the light switch, as a defective connection could cause such issues. The owner took the car to a garage, where the problem was confirmed and resolved by addressing the faulty connection.

Thanks for the tip! Where exactly is that located? Is it easy to get to and check myself, or is it buried somewhere?

The light switch connector is indeed the culprit in many cases. It's accessible, but depending on your comfort level with auto electrics, it might be best to have a workshop take a look. A diagnostic will confirm and they can address the wiring integrity to specification.

Thanks, I appreciate the advice. Took it to a local garage; turns out it was indeed a defective cable or plug connection. They sorted it for 95€.

I had a similar issue with my Mokka. Have you checked the cable and plug connection to the light switch itself? A defective connection there can cause intermittent issues and trigger error codes.
