Mokka Lights Switch On By Themselves

I've got a 2015 Vauxhall Mokka, diesel engine, with 173434 km on the clock. Recently, the lights switch on by themselves sometimes, and I got a message on my dashboard. The OBD reader says there's an error stored related to the light switch. I checked the fuses, and they seem okay. Could it be the dimmer switch or something electrical?

I had a similar issue with my Mokka. Have you checked the cable and plug connection to the light switch itself? A defective connection there can cause intermittent issues and trigger error codes.

Thanks for the tip! Where exactly is that located? Is it easy to get to and check myself, or is it buried somewhere?

The light switch connector is indeed the culprit in many cases. It's accessible, but depending on your comfort level with auto electrics, it might be best to have a workshop take a look. A diagnostic will confirm and they can address the wiring integrity to specification.

Thanks, I appreciate the advice. Took it to a local garage; turns out it was indeed a defective cable or plug connection. They sorted it for 95€.
