Mokka Low Coolant
Summary of the thread
A 2018 Vauxhall Mokka with a diesel engine displayed a check engine light due to low coolant levels. Despite no visible leaks around the radiator hoses and a seemingly fine radiator cap, the coolant was low. A suggestion was made to check for air pockets, but ultimately, a workshop visit revealed a small leak in one of the radiator connections, which was resolved with a new clip and coolant top-up.

Good shout. I'll check it cold in the morning. But if it is consistently low, even when cold, what was the culprit in your case?

Mine was consistently low. I topped it up a couple of times, but it kept dropping. Ultimately, I took it to a workshop. They pressure tested the system and found a small leak in the water pump. Worth getting it checked out properly.

Thanks for the insight. Much appreciated. Took it to the shop and they found a small leak on one of the radiator connections. New clip and top up, 52€ all in. Sorted.

I had a similar issue with my Mokka. Check your coolant level first thing in the morning, before you start the engine. Is it consistently low, or does it fluctuate?
