Mokka Overheating Coolant Leak

Hey, I'm having trouble with my 2023 Vauxhall Mokka, gasoline engine. The engine is overheating, and the check engine light is on. There's also a coolant spill, looks like from too much pressure. I'm getting a control unit communication error. Could a bad cable or plug be the problem? Any ideas?

I had a similar issue with my Mokka, though I don't remember the year. Overheating and coolant leaks aren't good. It sounds like a connectivity problem, maybe the CAN bus or a bad data link. Have you checked the wiring harness for damage or corrosion?

Thanks! Was the problem consistent, or did it come and go? Also, can you tell me exactly where on the wiring harness I should look?

Mine was pretty consistent once it started. The issue was with the control module. Honestly, I'd take it to a workshop. They can diagnose it properly and stop more damage. Messing with the wiring without knowing what you're doing can make it worse. Better safe than sorry!

Understood. Thanks for the advice! I took it to a local shop, and they found a faulty cable like you thought. They replaced it. The repair was 95€.
