The diagnostics indicated a general wiring fault, specifically a cable or plug connection. Was your Citroen's problem also related to the wiring, and what was the eventual solution?

Yes, it turned out to be a corroded connector in the rear bumper. I'd advise having a workshop check all the connections related to the parking assist system, including the control module. It might be a simple fix.

Thanks for the advice. A defective cable was found and repaired for 95€.

I had a similar issue with my 2019 Citroen C3. The proximity sensors were giving false readings, and sometimes not working. Did the diagnostics point to a specific sensor or just a general wiring fault?
