Mokka Preheating Lamp Issue

I'm having trouble with my 2017 Vauxhall Mokka diesel. At 30955 km, the preheating lamp doesn't switch off and there's an error stored. I suspect a bad glow plug. Could this cause combustion issues, rough idle, and misfires, especially when it's cold? Would it trigger the check engine light?

I had a similar problem with my Mokka. The preheating lamp stayed on, and the engine was a bit rough when starting. Have you noticed any difference in fuel consumption?

Thanks for the quick reply. I haven't really monitored fuel consumption, but it might have increased a little. Was your issue definitely a glow plug, or could it have been something else?

Yeah, it was a faulty glow plug. The symptoms were almost identical. I'd recommend getting it checked at a workshop; it's the most reliable way to diagnose it.

Thanks for sharing your experience. I appreciate the advice. I'll take it to a workshop for a diagnostic check and repair. The estimated cost is around 440€.
