Mokka reduced engine power

I had very similar issues with my Mokka! Is the hissing noise constant when accelerating, or does it come and go? Mine was doing that too, plus the MPG went down the drain. It felt like I was towing a boat anchor!

Yep, exact same symptoms! It was the intake manifold flap control, just as you suspected. Honestly, I wouldn't mess around with it too much yourself. I tried a few things but ended up taking it to a workshop. Saved myself a lot of headaches in the long run!
