Mokka rough cold start

Hi, I'm having some trouble with my 2012 Vauxhall Mokka (gasoline engine). It has 106968 km on the clock. Recently, it's been starting very poorly and running rough during the cold start phase. I suspect a faulty cold start injector. Has anyone experienced something similar?

I have a Mokka too, and your symptoms sound very familiar. A defective injection valve could indeed be the culprit. Is the engine misfiring, especially when cold?

Yes, there is definitely some engine misfire and a rough idle when it's cold. Does this confirm your suspicion of the injection valve?

Based on your description, it strongly suggests a defective injector. It's affecting your fuel delivery. I'd recommend a visit to a workshop for a proper diagnosis and replacement. It's a fuel system issue best handled by professionals.

Thanks for the advice. I took it to a local workshop, and you were spot on – it was indeed a defective injector. They replaced it, and it cost me 515€. The car now starts perfectly. Thanks again!
