Mokka starting issues
Summary of the thread
A 2017 Vauxhall Mokka diesel is experiencing starting issues, rough idle, stalling, increased fuel consumption, and a check engine light at 45410 km. Error codes suggest a problem with the fuel pump. After checking wiring and plugs, it was determined that a faulty connection was causing the symptoms. The issue was resolved by fixing a defective cable/plug connection at a workshop for 95€.

I haven't checked the fuel injectors themselves, focusing on the fuel pump due to error codes. If the injectors are clogged, would that cause the error codes to point towards the pump? Could a bad connection there affect the injectors too?

It's possible, though less likely that a connection directly affects the injectors. A failing pump can definitely mimic injector issues. Given your symptoms, the codes, and my similar experience, it's worth getting the fuel pump properly diagnosed by a workshop. It could save time and headaches.

Thanks a lot for the advice! I appreciate you sharing your experience. I took it to a workshop and had them check the fuel pump thoroughly. It was a defective cable/plug connection. Cost 95€ to fix.

Sounds frustrating! I had similar issues with my Mokka: engine stalling, rough running, the whole shebang. Have you checked the fuel injectors too? Sometimes they can get clogged and cause similar problems.
