Mokka Steering Angle Sensor Fault

Thank you for your reply. The wheel alignment has not been checked recently. Is it your assessment that incorrect wheel alignment will cause the steering angle sensor to report faulty data?

Not saying alignment causes the fault, but if your wheels are way out, the sensor works overtime, like a pilot constantly correcting course in turbulence. In my case it was easier to get the professionals check both at the workshop. They can access data you can only guess about, in the same way a doctor listens to your heart, while you only feel the beats. They’ll hook it up to diagnostics and see what's up, maybe recalibrate or replace the sensor.

Following your suggestion, I took the Mokka to a local workshop. The diagnostic confirmed a faulty steering angle sensor due to coding issues. The repair, including recalibration, cost 195€. Thank you for your help.

Sounds familiar! I had a similar issue with my Mokka. Increased steering effort and the shakes. Could be the sensor is off, messing with the electronic stability program. Ever had your wheel alignment checked?
