Mokka temperature sensor and AC issues
Summary of the thread
A 2017 Vauxhall Mokka is experiencing issues with a defective temperature sensor in the heat exchanger, an error message on the speedometer, and a non-functional air conditioning system. The problem might be related to the air conditioning control unit itself. A similar case was resolved by replacing the faulty air con control unit and recalibrating the system, suggesting that professional diagnosis and repair could effectively address the issue.

Interesting. Not seeing any overheating, no steam or anything. Just the error message and the A/C not working. You think it might be a calibration thing? Or a dodgy wire somewhere?

Mine wasn't overheating either. The diagnostics pointed to the same temp sensor issue. After chasing wires, I took it to a workshop. Turns out, the air con control unit was faulty, like you guessed. They replaced it, recalibrated everything, and it's been fine since. Might be worth getting it properly diagnosed to save yourself the trouble.

Appreciate the insight! Workshop it is. Just got the diagnosis - you were spot on, air con control unit is broken. Quoted 980€ for the repair. At least I know what's up. Thanks again!

Sounds familiar! I had a similar issue with my Mokka. Is the engine running hotter than usual, or are you just seeing the warning lights? I'm wondering if it's actually the sensor, or if something else is triggering it.
