Mokka Wiper Failure
Summary of the thread
A 2014 Vauxhall Mokka experienced a wiper switch problem, rendering the windshield wipers non-functional and storing an error in memory. The suspected cause was a defective cable or plug connection. A suggestion was made to check the wiring harness around the steering column and the wiper motor plug connection for loose or corroded connections. Upon inspection, a faulty connection in the wiring harness was identified and repaired, resolving the issue.

Thanks for the suggestion. Which wiring harness specifically on your Megane gave you trouble? Was it also throwing any turn signal issues?

On the Megane, it was the main wiring harness going into the steering column. The car didn't show turn signal issues, but because the wiper and turn signal stalk are linked, I’d still check there first before assuming it's the motor. If it’s not obvious, I suggest a workshop.

Thanks. I had the wiring harness checked. Indeed a faulty connection. Repair cost was 95€. All sorted now.

I once had a similar issue with my old Renault Megane. The wipers just stopped working. Have you checked the wiring harness around the steering column and the wiper motor plug connection itself? Sometimes those connections can become loose or corroded.
