Mondeo Airbag Warning Light

I'm having a serious issue with my 2008 Ford Mondeo diesel. The airbag warning lamp lights up constantly. I've checked the fuses, and they seem fine. The car has 87977 km, and I'm worried about airbag deployment. Any ideas?

That sounds concerning! I had a similar problem with my old Renault Megane, though it was with the seatbelt pretensioner. The airbag system relies on a lot of connections. Could be a loose wire?

A loose wire, you say? Where should I be checking specifically? Is it something I can easily access?

In my Renault, the mechanic said the connection under the seat was faulty. So, check every cable on the airbag-system. But honestly, airbag systems are complex. If the light stays on, you ought to go to a workshop to avoid any accidents. It could be money well spent.

Thanks for the advice! You were spot on; it ended up being a faulty plug in the cable connection. Workshop diagnosed and fixed it for 95€. Really appreciate the help!
