Mondeo Central Locking Failure
Summary of the thread
A 2014 Ford Mondeo experienced a complete failure of the central locking system, with neither door locking nor unlocking and an error logged. The suspected cause was a faulty cable or plug connection in the locking mechanism. After checking the wiring diagrams and consulting with others, it was confirmed that the issue was indeed a defective cable/plug connection to the door lock actuator, which was repaired at a cost of 95€.

The car alarm seems to be functioning correctly. I haven't specifically checked the fuses related to the security system, but I did go through all the fuses in the main box and didn't spot any blown ones. Which fuse number should I be looking for?

If the alarm works, then the fuse is most likely good. It was the same for me, alarm worked, but the central locking was dead. I'd suggest getting it checked by a workshop; in my case, it was a faulty actuator, and not worth messing with yourself. Good luck.

Thanks for the insight. I had it checked, and you were spot on. Turns out it was a defective cable/plug connection to the door lock actuator. Repair cost came to 95€. Appreciate the help!

I had a similar problem with my Mondeo's central locking. Does the car alarm work? Also, have you checked the fuses related to the security system?
